Imaginary Botanicals

My images are a selection from the series "Imaginary Botanicals". As a response to the extraordinary hyper-real paintings of the moment I have subverted the technique and in the series Imaginary Botanicals I have photographed flowers and plants from my home in Kintyre, Scotland and edited them to resemble the sketches and paintings found in Victorian plant hunters notebooks.
