For people living in the former Easteuropean communist block, George Orwells novel '1984' happened to be a confirmed prophecy that sadly had to be experienced personaly. Constantly people had been under secret police surveillance which destroyed self-confidence and trust in each other.Although it happened exactly in the nineteeneighties we are now living in a world where someway, somehow everybody is under surveillance and the line between private and public is starting to dissapear.
'I view' is inspired by the movie Blow-Up by Antonioni and mainly by the way in which he depicted photography as a powerful tool to reveal. My visual research is enlarging the frames until it reveals people in their usual intimate moments as a warning about the danger of exposing our own intimacy.
We try to run but we cannot hide!
