Brexit Bathers

A ray of sunshine into the British Bathing scene on the lovely South West Cornish coastline. I started this short series in the attempt to capture the unbelievable bathing scene that happens every year in St Ives with one camera and one lens, during the school holidays. The idea of everyday people working so hard through out the year to earn the right to blow off some steam in the sunshine was captivating, However beautiful this loverly coastline is, this for me is the real deal. I wanted to capture people just how they are whilst on the beach, enjoying their well earned beach time. Its crazy busy that time of year, everyone is trying to cram as much beach time and activities in as they can. Some want to play games, some just want to pass out on a beach towel! During our time in this "BREXIT" period, it just feels like a memorable time for the British so calling it "Brexit Bathers" felt right and gave me the initial spark to capture our somewhat unconventional beach culture.
