Dandelion, a French word for “lion’s tooth,” has always been a symbol of hope, courage and resilience. Dandelions can grow without love or tending, and will break through even the smallest crack in a city sidewalk, reminding us that we can rise and thrive through anything, so long as we persist. As I explore each dandelion as a whole or in its many fractured pieces, I strive to celebrate the resilience of each lion’s tooth. For me, my camera is a tool to really see what is overlooked or forgotten. My camera shows me how to see and embrace possibility.
