My photography explores transformations. This series was created from the vining tendrils of sugar snap pea plants from my garden which are placed on a reflective surface. Reflections are used to reinforce my theme of transformations because the reflection is always similar, but different from the original. In this series, the tendrils themselves have transformed as well—the plants have produced all they can and are now dead, but there is still value in them for my work. The minimalistic pieces are made in black in white to reduce them to only the shapes and forms created by nature. All photos are shot in natural light.
