In My Garden is the portrayal of a positive affirmation of love between men. It is a project centered on male beauty and my desires and appreciation of it as a queer artist. In my images, I present homosexuality as natural, unassuming, and significant as trees, grass and leaves. I create an imaginary Utopia drawn from personal fantasies of a lush garden lit by ethereal light, where men can love one another, free from social injustice, prejudice and judgement. In making this work, I also draw inspiration from the history of homoerotic art and pay tribute to those queer artists who wove the first threads, often against social conventions and at the risk of personal and professional reputation.
