-Ride your city- Mi nombre es Xavi Calvo. Soy de Barcelona, tengo 37 años y llevo casi desde niño yendo en bici como transporte, aparte de hacer deporte y otras actividades. - La bicicleta es el eje central en mi vida, y también en la obra que presento. Es un eje central al que le acompañan la mobilidad y la Ciudad de Barcelona. - Este trabajo/iniciativa empieza en 2014 con el descubrimiento de la iniciativa ciclista y mundial de los ’30 dias en bici’ / ’30 days of biking’. Una iniciativa que invita a gente de todo el mundo a coger la bicicleta en abril cada día, y hacerse una foto para demostrarlo, durante todo el mes de abril, y compartiendola en la redes sociales, promocionando a su vez, el uso de la bicicleta. Esta iniciativa es voluntaria, y no exige hacer la foto diària si no se quiere. En mi caso, he cumplido los 4 años (2014, 2015, 2016 y 2017) sin fallar ni un día en abril, haciendo 1 o más de 1 foto (buena) diària. En total; miles de fotos tomades en estos años, siempre relacionando la vida diaria, la rutina, con la bicicleta, la mobilidad y Barcelona. - A través de esta iniciativa (30 días en bici) y de la mano de este proyecto (Ride our city), puedo mostrar una parte de mi vida con la que estoy muy implicado; la mobilidad sostenible, con un eje central; la bicicleta, y un segundo eje; Barcelona.
