Impressions of India

In the past few years, I have been photographing people in their environments. My most ambitious work has been in the streets and neighborhoods of India. Whether at work or play, the people of India are so energetic and welcoming. You can communicate with strangers and not feel that you are interfering. I am not sure who is observing who, but the interaction is a real testament to the kind nature and good attitudes of most people I met. The photographs I am showing were taken during two trips in 2016 and 2017 in North and Southern India. I try to show people in a way that makes them interesting to look at and that will encourage us to become more familiar with their culture.
