Humankind is always on the road ...

From the day he was born until he passes on to another form of existence, humankind is always traveling the road of life. The road of life is not there by coincidence. The road of life always leads us to a certain goal, a well-defined goal that we carry along our whole lives. Sometimes we perfectly know which direction we should take, sometimes we have to search our way, sometimes we are finding ourselves in a maze. Due to their experiences, every human being is taking a different path on the road of live. But everybody took off at the same beginning, all ignorant and far from perfect. And at the same time, every day we are looking for a better way of living and a higher state of perfection. Some of us already travelled further on the road of life. The road always changes, like time always changes too. When Jurgen Beullens started this project, he wanted to compare his journey on the path of life with the constantly changing form of water. Water is always in motion, changing its form, just like we always make decisions where to go on the road of life. The cold ice represents the unfortunate times. The rain represents the flood of little godsends. The drops of sweat coming from the sun represent warm, happy and loving times in life.
