"An Absurd Wish" is a photo series that aims to shed light on the challenges faced by gay individuals in a society where their identity is considered a sin. Through this series, I have collected and strategically placed dresses belonging to gay people in various locations throughout Dhaka, symbolizing their hidden desires and the need to conceal their true selves. These dresses, purposefully positioned in unfamiliar places, serve as a metaphorical representation of the struggle faced by gay individuals to express their identities openly. The photographs have been meticulously manipulated to evoke a sense of void, reflecting the emotional turmoil experienced by the subjects. By capturing these striking images, I hope to raise awareness, provoke conversations, and inspire empathy toward the LGBTQ+ community, ultimately advocating for greater acceptance and understanding in our society.
