THE VENUS PROJECT

"The Venus Project" is a Photographic, Performative Installation Series conceived and produced in Miami Beach, FL (2015-2022). “The Venus Project,” is a photographic installation and performative series set against the vibrant backdrop of Miami Beach, FL, where the Atlantic Ocean meets the bustling skyline. Drawing inspiration from the ethereal beauty of the ocean and the timeless allure of Venus, the goddess of love and beauty, this project delves into the intersection of universal beauty and marine landscapes through the art of photography. Rooted in the mythology of Venus and featuring a resin sculpture replica of Botticelli’s “Birth of Venus,” this project aims to awaken a sense of wonder, prompting viewers to ponder the intricate relationship between humanity and the natural world. 
Through the interplay of natural light and carefully composed scenes, each photograph – exclusively captured on smartphones to emulate Venus’ own perspective – orchestrates a captivating convergence of modern technology and classical sculpture. This series is part of HBA – Human Beyond Appearances, an ongoing exploration of the expressive potential of non-animated beings. Alongside other captivating projects such as “Light America” featuring “Scarlett,” the cardboard stand-up, “The Mila Project” spotlighting Mila and George, resin sculptures, and “The Algonauts” portraying digital non-existing personas, “The Venus Project” invites audiences to transcend appearances and delve into the depths of artistry and imagination.
