The Rohingya Sanctuary of Bangladesh

These images were taken between 12th November and 2nd December 2017 while I was in the Rohingya refugee camps of Southern Bangladesh working with a charity who are building villages for thousands of Rohingya refugees and who feed over one thousand children each day. I spent the majority of time in Kutupalong, one of twenty-seven refugee camps in Southern Bangladesh which is home to 200,000 Rohingya refugees, victims of ethnic cleansing in Myanmar, formerly known as Burma. The camp is vast beyond imagination, thousands of people displaced with many still to find shelter, clothing and food for themselves and their families. So many having lost their loved ones to the military’s bullets, landmines and burnt down homes. These are the Rohingya people; warm, welcoming, compassionate, brave and resilient people who don't know if they'll ever be able to return home; or even if they have a home to return to.
