The Cyr wheel, also known as the roue Cyr, mono wheel, or simple wheel is an acrobatic apparatus that consists of a single large ring. The performer stands inside the Cyr wheel and grasps its rim, causing it to roll and spin gyroscopically while performing acrobatic moves in and around the rotating wheel. It was invented around 1996 by Daniel Cyr, a graduate of the National Circus School in Montreal, who created a new circus discipline.
I met Paolo last June. He is a street artist and he brought the Cyr wheel art in the streets of Sardinia, Italy.
Paolo is a gymnast and a capoeira athlete. He discovered the wheel and he fallen in love of this tool. It is very hard to stay in balance inside.
Day by day he studies and works hard to earn some money for his dream of dancer.
