Paradisi regained

"Paradisi regained or the lost education" is a project on the loss of real knowledge and education. The place for this photo story is set in the remote village of Paradisi ,in South Evia Greece, in the 50s but it might have happened in any part of the world,any time . Hard work ,poverty and lack of alternatives makes people stay away from books ,knowledge and schools. A young teacher ,remembered as Miss Antigone (by her favorite play "Antigone" by Sophocles), decides to teach them in the most inventive way and inspire a new sparkle of life in them. The project was made with the participation of volunteers from the area and support from Scam,Paris.
