The Beaten Track

The concept of "The Beaten Track" was to show the contradiction between the fast paced / busy lifestyle of Tokyo, as well as the isolation that results from it. The tracks go beyond being a metaphor for the path people of Tokyo take to "ride" into loneliness. But these tracks also literally the transport that allow people to live this way. The long exposure shots also represent the days that pass us by in this crazy city.
