If not here, then where?

My photo series If not here, then where? is about the different roles we play in life. This is getting more and more. Our commitment to the world is increasing. People are getting more busy. In this series of self portraits, I show how I lose myself in all the different roles and how I am trying to keep up with what society wants from me. Can we keep up with the future or are we getting more estranged from ourselfs? Can we be who we are and who am I with all the roles I have in life? Were are we if we are in the digital world? We can be at two places in one time en play multiple roles. We must grow and develop ourselves. We have to keep up with the fast-paced society, know everything and have an opinion about every subject. Can we still be in the moment or are we always somewhere else? Where are we if we are not in the moment? If not here, then where?
