Remnants of hope

The color green is known as the color of hope. In this project I document the existence of ornamental plants in public and private places. Flowers as a kind of human element in the tight sterile and cold world of workplaces. In communist Poland people wanted to have a substitute of home, warm home that they tried to move to a working environment. Flowers in an "empty" space, which is a matter of fact "nobody's" symbolize a man with his hope for a better tomorrow, a better job, better people next door, better conditions. Times have changed, and the flowers... flowers stayed.
