Firenze

I've been working on this project for almost a year. I started by studying the light in Florence: light constantly changes and so the scenes that it magically creates on every corner of the city. "Firenze" is a photographic project in which the protagonists are the people, captured against a dark shade intentionally underexposed, or, on the opposite, against a burning light. It intends to be a dark, contrasty collection of portraits and situations, settled in Florence. The city is almost invisible: the buildings, the famous landmarks of the city are immersed in the dark and emerge from the streets only the people that pass through it, like actors on a stage. © 2014 Simone Buda
