Stone Pelting in Sringar

Kashmir is a divided territory between India and Pakistan. On the Indian side, Separatist - those who advocate separating of Kashmir from India adopt various means with alleged support of Pakistan to spread their point of view and disturbance. Stone pelting by the separatist thought supporters has become a common phenomenon in this regard. It is now a channel of showing their anger, and non acceptance of security forces hence Indian rule in Kashmir. My project covers two days of stone pelting in Srinagar - May 26 & 27 of 2017. May 26th was a regular day (Friday afternoon) while May 27th become important as death of militant Sabraz Bhat spread leading to wide scale protest through out south Kashmir - in number and intensity.
