Yellow Shaman series

SHAMAN series Introduction and inspiration of Armando Tinnirello Forests and woods are mysterious, enchanted and highly symbolic places. Here mythical creatures that have always stimulated our imaginations live. From the woods an ongoing project, in which the “memory” of crossbred icons is projected into the future, bears witness to our past. The union with the forces of nature of “other realitie”, a world of experiences encountered in trance, is achieved through Shamanism. The shaman protects and guides us in multidimensional reigns, waring us against obstacles and snares of hostile forces and bestowing us with teachings and enlightment. As Picasso and Matisse, in the mask I see the primordial force and a third dimension, only seen in your mind’s eye. Each image in the “Shaman” series features a mask which neither indicates time nor place but generates new prospects on who we are and where we come from, in the quest for Mother Nature and the spirits that govern her, in antithesis to the concepts of exploitation and desecration. Man is defiling nature to suit his own needs, exposing us to an uncertain future.
