For the serie "SOWETO" : In August 2017, I was invited to give lectures in South Africa. It was here that I met Marilyn Bassin who founded an NGO called Boikanyo The Dion Herson Foundation - BDHF. They provide assistance to shack and hostel dwellers who live in abject poverty in an area of Soweto, near to Johannesburg. Impressed by her work, I asked Marilyn if I could join her or a few days.

At Khotso Primay School, isolated and alone, this is Thato, 11 years old, When he was 4 years old, he was violently assaulted and left unconscious on the floor of his shack, a paraplegic.August 23rd 2017, Soweto, Johannesburg, South Africa.
