Straight in the eyes

EYES AND ATTITUDES It is said that the eyes are the window of the soul. I have met many gazes in my forty years of travel in different parts of the world. Each glance, each attitude is unique. I’ve attempted to steal a few of these stares ; giving way to an intense and fleeting exchange. Emotional transfers fade away since they only appear for an instant. However, the magic of photography resides in the fact that we can now capture these moments, and therefore share them. Each stare says a lot about one’s state of mind : curiosity, open-mindedness, friendliness, kindness, carelessness, seduction, questioning, conceit, entertainment, rejection, tiredness, self-satisfaction, shyness, sadness, distress…if lists of this nature ever existed, they would be never-ending, since the diversity of pictures and of differences are but the expression of one’s originality. We are all alike and all different ! Each glance is an open window to diversity and wealth, to me, to you, and our souls.
