FATICA / Part II

FATICA is a photographic project by Piero Viti and Claire Clelia Baldo, born from the collaboration with the international live art exhibition project Venice International Performance Art Week. Between 2014 and 2017 we portrayed artists from around the world, immediately before or after their live performances, lectures or curatorial working sessions. The challenge was to capture in short time the essence of the artist in action, hence crucial part of this work is the complicity established with the artist in the very moment of photographing. The photographs have been taken in occasion of the II Venice International Performance Art Week "Ritual Body - Political Body" (2014), III Venice International Performance Art Week "Fragile Body - Material Body" (2016) and the Venice International Performance Art Week 2017 "Co-Creation Live Factory - Prologue 1" at Palazzo Mora, Venice, Italy, upon invitation by the artist duo VestAndPage.
