Migrants who are denied asylum, due to logistic problems, budget and weak diplomatic relations between Malta and the countries of origin are repatriated very randomly. They will recive a temporary permit but they will not able to leave Malta legally and it will be very difficolt for them to find a lasting job and and to integrate. But some will make it, like this bus driver.

78% of the migrants who arrive by boat recive international protection and then a passport that allows them to travel with a three-month visa to any other EU country; few of them, however, will return. This was not the case of this family from Libya who tried to settle in Sweden but was found with an exiperd visa and sent back. Now they live in “Hal Far – container city”.
