And She Was

This body of work is about remembering my mother, Jean Pearl Misher. I photographed her many times over the years making many black and white portraits, , 5 of those black and white portraits are included here. After she died in 2003, I realized there were no more portraits to be made of her. I began scanning her things into my computer creating the 5 collaged images included here, This enabled me to keep her memory alive and to allow me to continue making portraits not of her but about her.
