Young people guarding "eternal flame" on one of the youth camps in Russia. All the photos are unposed, the concentrated and somehow dignified expression on their faces is natural. The flame commemorates soldiers who died on WWII, called in Russia "Great Patriotic War". Events of the war and the memories of suffering of all the soviet nations was the main binder connecting all the people in USSR. Even today stories of WWII are extremely important for young people. Two of portrayed guardians became local heroes, as they didn't leave the post during huge storm that devastated the camp.
