Nation of Immigrants?
It's hard to hate up close. Especially when every American, at some point, walked into this land with their own immigration story.
I am the granddaughter of Cuba, by way of England and Scotland. My path to becoming an American started long before I was born on the backs of brave men and women in search of something better for our family.
Many people here are just starting their journey; many have been here for generations. I am here to tell these stories of perseverance, of prayer and of passion. While the label 'immigrant' has become a flashpoint, if we can look at a person for who they are, not as how they are labeled, the path forward may be less fraught with fear.
