For the last 8 years I have been documenting street performers, buskers, corner musicians, Faire performers and other kinds of non-traditional open air acts. I have been confined to a wheelchair for 7 of those years and have found that it gives me an entirely different perspective (literally) on these artists as I'm usually at eye level with many of them. Also, being in the chair has made me very conscious of the movement of others and I find myself fascinated with the precision and economy of motion in acrobatic and juggling sorts of artists. This series continues to grow as street performers tend to be a transient and ever evolving bunch, so I'm constantly discovering new performers.
