A wave of exceptional cold Siberian air, also known as Buran which only rarely expands in this way so decisively, hit Italy from Feb 25th 2018 to the first days of March 2018, as well as almost all of Europe. It can be defined a historical episode, such as those of 1985 and 2012, above all for the extent of frost and for the late period in which it is manifested.
