The County Fair is a personal documentary photographic project which explores the people who come to enjoy the thrills and fears of fast rides, barbecue and fried foods and all the collective smells and noise which permeate the fairgrounds. I also photograph the people who work at the fairs as well as the farmers who come to show off their livestock in the different animal barns all looking to be awarded the blue ribbon as top prize for their cows, sheep, rabbits or chickens. There isn't a more typical American event outside of baseball and American football than those found at various state and county fairs that pop up all over the USA during the summer and early fall.
