With three young girls, a job, I don't get out as much as I would like, to capture images. But one thing I still really enjoy, and have since I commenced my journey, is taking a chance to see, who, and what, I can photograph on the streets.
Random Street Portraits, is as the name suggests, random portraits ,taken on the street, same place each week, in the rural town, where I now live in New Zealand.
The size of the town 90,000 people, compared to Melbourne where I am from, 4.5 million people, has it's own challenges.
The only things that I control, is the location, and the same back drop, an old steel door, (opposite the main bus station) to frame each image, how they pose, or what they do, is left up to them, so the variety and strength of each portrait, is random.
The range of people vary from locals, International students, to travelers passing through, from all parts of the globe.
The interaction with each person, is as important as capturing the image itself.
The series is ongoing, these are some from my first edit.
