June 2017 and 2018: Bucharest City Hall organized a party in Cismigiu Park: free folklore concerts and free…balloons, reminiscent of the public events organized for the crowd during the communist era. But this is not a coincidence: there is a direct link between those authorities and current authorities. And we have here the same crowd…people trapped in the past, with a mindset formed in the communist and post-communist period, “characters” that simultaneously exhale sadness and humor, tragic and comic.
