The ruins of Epecuen village in the province of Buenos Aires, in southern Argentina, a city that is compared to Atlantis city located a 560km (348 miles) from Capital Federal, was submerged for its thermal waters with great salt content and with a great power of healing according to surveys.
The village containing about 1500 inhabitants at the time, which bears its name from the lake Epecuen, that reached the mark of 10 meters high, due to heavy rains that occurred in period of November of 1985, currently the water of lake retreated more and thus returning almost to their normal level.
A sad story that ended up creating a scenario that was once only imagined. Amid the surrealism that only those who’ve been there can lived, looking even desert, today the village turned tourist attraction for people from neighboring areas, people who come out and journalists. In the midst of such destruction even today we can find certain beauty emerging from the “lost city”.
