Ebola in Sierra Leone and Liberia
Project info

When Guinea reported its first few cases of Ebola in March 2014 few took it seriously. 9 months later the outbreak has infected over 17000 people and sent shock waves around the world, undermining development gains won painstakingly over the last decade. In Sierra Leone, my home for the past two years, Ebola has taken over every part of life. People talk of little else. And with case numbers still rising it looks set to continue that way for some time to come. These pictures, from Sierra Leone and Liberia, span the duration of the outbreak and aim to give a sense of the tragedy that is unfolding.
