Portraits of Food

We are surrounded by the images of food - on Instagram feeds, in advertisements, blogs, and cookbooks. Photos of food show how the food is cooked, how artfully it is plated, and where it is served. Food photography is about people and their vanities, but not about the food itself. Portraits of Food is my attempt to bring attention back to the food itself to see how beautiful it is before it is prepared for human consumption. I create these portraits the same way I create the portraits of humans - with dignity and respect food deserves.
