General Entry - Emerging Talent Awards

This series presents the people and places of a modern day Los Angeles, while exploring the ever-present disparity between desire, dreams and reality. Initially conceived with the intent of avoiding the photographic clichés of Los Angeles, it quickly became evident that these clichés were often in fact unavoidable realities of first hand encounters on the city streets. The series of lonely landscapes and collaborative street portraits weave an intimate narrative of love, life, and home in a city of broken dreams.
