My work explores the conditions of the black body in a society living under the false guise of a “postcolonial” or “postmodern” world, as we are bound by the interpolation of ideologies, subliminal and overt. The past and present bind our relationship between the projection of self and our external world. I inspect the relationship of the subject to their real conditions of existence, creating images that reside in the interstitial spaces between the historic past and the construction of a reality.
