In an age wrought with images, snapshots, and captures, we distance ourselves from moments. We bring blocks of plastic, metal, glass, and electric wiring between the naked eye and the world beyond it. In this series I am exploring the basics of sight and observation. I wander into the city, find a good coffee and I sit, wait, and watch. I don't bring my camera, instead I take Notes, some mental, some written, some drawn. I then take these Notes to the studio, and recreate what I thought, drew, and wrote down into photographs.
