Self irony (ridendo castigat mores)

Xenophobia, isolationism, social movements, manipulation of masses, inequalities, daily trends and all the noise produced by the human species in mass media and social networks. The great contemporary concerns are the main theme of this photographic series of noir and auto-ironic feature, made on a mobile phone. Conceived to illustrate a chronicle of Notícias Magazine, this set of self-portraits is inspired by surrealist and expressionist art as well as fiction, thus seeking to broaden and add new layers of reading to the written text.
