Shadow Self & Projection

I read about Carl Jung's ideas of the shadow self and theory of projection and it really resonated with me. When shooting self portraits in the studio I isolate myself, obstruct my identity, and express my inner conflicts through body language and lighting. When shooting on the street I am projecting my emotions onto strangers, isolating them, and relying on light to paint the picture from my psyche.
