Défenses Part III Beyond the pain

Troisième opus d'un travail commencé il y a 5 ans sur la question du handicap dans l'art, Beyond the pain s'inscrit dans un mouvement lié à la poésie, à la joie et à l'imaginaire. Ces images sont le résultat d'une semaine de résidence auprès de quatre personnes en situation de handicap moteur-cérébral. Les termes de cette résidence étaient, autant pour les uns que pour les autres de s'inscrire dans une démarche artistique. Autrement dit un parti pris sur la création avant la documentation, ou chacun d'entre eux, grâce notamment au travail sur les photographies de familles, a été amené à trouver sa place entre sujet et modèle du projet. Third opus of a work begun 5 years ago on the issue of disability in art, Beyond the Pain is part of a movement related to poetry, joy and imagination. These images are the result of a week of residence with four people with cerebral motor disability. The terms of this residence were as much for one as for the other to be part of an artistic approach. In other words, a bias towards the creation before the documentation, or each of them, thanks to the work on the photographs of families, has been led to find its place between subject and model of the project.
