Vulnerability has got a negative reputation in our society, as often it gets identified with weakness. Though to show yourself vulnerable means showing your feelings truly and authentically. When talking about vulnerability every feeling is welcomed: longing, sadness, anger, joy, lust, etc.
Through negative past experiences many people have learned to hide themselves with their feelings. In this portrait series I try to create a deeper connection to people and to provide a field of permission for allowing to unveil what's behind trained defense mechanisms.
Vulnerability can be a path to the source of power and the ones who have the courage to go along this path will be rewarded with a deeper connection to oneself and to other people.
