In the Parisian metro billboards torn off in a violent and chaotic way, we find different old layers of advertisement paper that mingle with the most recent ones.
I see inside these huge panels, new images coming out, images that are a smaller part of the whole billboard, images that talk to me out of what we can already consider a piece of trash that nobody pays attention to.
Ones I see this images, I immediately photograph them, because in the next minute they can disappear, or change for ever, it´s the exact moment of my present that I want to preserve, a moment of beauty that normally nobody else cares about keeping.
I print this photos as they were taken, without re-framing or changing anything and then I paste them to the walls of the city, transferring them to the street, to make them visible for the public outside of the metro, in a different space, with a natural light, so people can stop and wonder about what they are, where they come from, think about these daily life moments of beauty that they missed everyday or maybe simply admire the beauty on them.
By pasting these pictures in the street, I also transform their original meaning, instead of being a piece of commercial trash with the only destiny of ending in the garbage can, they become a piece art that communicates with the pedestrians.
I transform the waste of the market, without any deep meaning, into an object that conveys an aesthetic value, that can make the pedestrians think and wander about how to resurrect and transform everyday life into a new thing, how we can find beauty in the banality of our boring days, how is it possible to not pay attention to the beauty that surrounds us every moment and maybe think about start observing more in our present and stop looking so much to our screens.
