Mind’s Eye is a series that visually explores my perceptions and memories of time spent by the ocean. Mind’s Eye is a concept defined by the mental ability to conceive an image from a recollected scene, that is then combined with the imagination to construct a personalised memory. For this series I have captured a variety of scenes, portraits and intricate details that are then combined as a way to visualise and fabricate my memories. The mind will remember precise details, small moments and emotions, and there are visual cues that are attached to these memories. Whether that be the touch and texture of linen on your skin, or the yellow flowers that surrounded you in a moment of bliss, the senses all collaborate together and are morphed into memories that I consider works of art.
