This is a series within a body of work of about 100 tableaus which I took over a period of many years. All of the tableaus were taken in between my daily life as a mother and photographer.
Each picture of this special series is one of two windows. One window is at my mothers farmhouse and the other one is my own kitchen window. I deconstructed the windows in many single close up shots and put them back together as a whole on the computer. I used the photo function of an old videocamera for the single shots. The low resolution and the lack of definition is part of the concept. The idea was to show something unspectacular of my everyday life in a way that makes it interesting. Although the spectator doesn’t know what he sees, he gets an idea or a feeling of the object shown. Especially when it is shown in different situations. Each tableau, although it’s the some point of view, has it’s very own character, depending on the light, the decoration and the time of the year.
