"The project is called "FIGHT, FLIGHT, FREEZE" inspired from the famous inner protective mechanism we have when we face stress.
Fight or Flight response, is not a planned reaction, but a rapid-fire, automatic, total body response that we share with others that arouses a huge quantity of neurotransmitters and hormones producing massive changes in every organ. When this reaction is a response to a real danger, is time-limited, and is effective, it is life-saving and highly adaptive. If there is no chance for survival if we try to run or fight, we may automatically Freeze. The freeze response activates a very different sequence of autonomic nervous system arousal, slowing the heart rate, causing us to fall over and thus preserve blood flow, and even simulate death.
Every person, has an inner disposition to react in either ways when stressed. I use photography to juggle around all of them and adapt better to stressful conditions and this is depicted in the specific collection of apparently un-connected photos: The portfolio's main topic implies either an energy towards action (Fight), or a door to imagination and escape from reality (Flight) or a place where time stops (Freeze)"
