The Urantia Series

The Urantia Series The Urantia Book purports to be a new revelation sent down in the early-mid 20th century, and outlines in its 1800 pages, a greatly expanded view of humanity's origins and its collective destiny, and the supreme relation of the individual soul to our Creator. Many passages found therein explain in great and vivid detail various phases and aspects of our universe and the multitude of personalities inhabiting it, and our destiny as immortals, after the dissolution of our physical bodies. I experienced such existential reassurance through my reading of the Urantia Book that the making of this project became an outpouring, an act of happy necessity. My hope and goal in the creation of this work is to spur public interest about, and by extension, gently provoke inquiry into this text, which is poised to answer so many of the difficult and complex questions facing modern man. This collection of digital composites is not meant to be illustratively exacting, but are rather open-ended interpretations of some of the more immediate, spiritually emancipating concepts found in the book's passages. In each image, I aim for the integration of the conceptual and the formal, and above all, unification of the qualities of beauty, restfulness, and a touch of the sublime.
