Body Parts II: locked in

These images are from the second shoot of my on-going Body Parts studio project. Three adult mannequins were used in this meditation on our obsession with physical appearance and how, for many of us, the human body is not a temple, but a prison. Body-image has become a social/personal battleground, encouraged by fashion, food, celebrity and religion. Instead of being a source of joy and liberation, our bodies have turned into prison cells made of flesh, with the key (to happiness) always out of reach.
