Structure: The Mojave Desert

This is a series of photographs of the contemporary built landscape in the Mojave Desert. Some people are drawn to the sharp beauty of the desert landscape and the pressure of circumstance brings others. The western deserts of the US are harsh environments in which to build community and thrive. These photos are part of an ongoing project to describe, with a small slice, the variety homes, houses, and structures that people have built to adapt to the demands of this environment.
