The culture of the Dani tribe, people from the central highlands of western New Guinea (the Indonesian province of Papua) is disappearing as quickly as tourism floods the Baliem valley and corrupting its natural inhabitants.
Sweet potatoes are a staple for the Dani tribe an it is cooked in the earth oven by place hot stones around the pit in the ground and covered with various vegetations naturally found around their villages.
Dani tribesmen would hand-made their weapons consisting of spears, bow and arrows, for their occasional ritual small-scale warfare with another village for the purpose of insulting the enemy rather than territorial takeover.
The state of the village is extremely primitive and lacks the most basic hygiene level.
